Pretty little princess in bows and pink sundress gifts and presents wondrous year old today Ribbons, sashes, ruffles on floor crawls and shuffles loud laughter and snuffles childlike display Mom and dad are so-so lives changed a year ago turned their whole world wacko baby array Parents hug each other promise are still lovers with a year now over need time away Grandparents blow kisses friends and others wishes party favor glitches happy birthday

Hi Susan, Many thanks for taking up the challenge with this relatively new form. Critique: The feminine line endings were fine, however, for me, the rhyming in stanzas 1 and 4 let it down. Congratulations on your 2nd place, many thanks for your support.. Mick
