Fireless Dragon
Listen to poem:
Dewi the dragon was hiding
a very sad dragon was he
no matter how much he huffed or puffed
no fire could he exhale you see
he lost his fire
looked everywhere
even asked his friend Ted bear
couldn't find it anywhere.
where did you have it last said Ted
now let me think
i know said Dewi I was singing
whilst washing dishes at sink
oh my! do you think it's gone down the plughole
cried Dewi tears trickling down his long nose
i am soooo very unhappy ....
will have to go fireless I suppose
Ted had an idea to make Dewi smile
he called out Pat the plumber to open the waste
he searched amongst the tea leaves, carefully
didn't want to extinguish it in his haste
There glowing in the dark corner
was the fire, Dewi had lost when he sung
Dewi jumped with glee ...so happy
in future I wont sing I will just hum.
