Fire Out of the Rock

They stumble and fell,
Before a mighty wind.
The whole realm of hell
Came down from heaven.

In a blinding moment
of unity, the world ignites.
The force of discouragement
Surface with human rights.

The bitter spark we attract
Flames ablaze set alight.
Holy Fire out of the rock
Angels and demons’ delight.

When we stumble and fall
Into snares of mockery traps.
The temptation is a rallying call
To see believers’ collapse.

Shame is more potent
Then the battle of the mind,
Losing ground before penitent
Takes a firmer stand.
