Loneliness, insecurity, and the weight of reality
threaten to break your fragile heart.
You struggle with feelings of helplessness
and uncertainty.
Your heart accommodates hurt, sorrow, and pain
but also a spark of hope
that curbs the fear and allows for a smile.
Examine who you are inside!
If you feel you're missing something,
then you owe it to yourself to take a closer look.
Hope and disappointment are like the layers of an onion,
sharing the same power to bring tears to your eyes.
Gather the memorable moments in your life
and reacquaint yourself with feelings of love.
Enduring years of heartaches, you're frightened;
it takes a brave heart to confront rejection,
and a determined soul to endure it.
You are unique!
But fear festers in the darkest recesses of your mind,
where doubt so often dwells.
Love is so precious that it awes you with its beauty,
and yet, at the same time, scares you with its fragility.
