Finger of God
Repay good with evil,
and you shall be touched by the Finger of God
Turn a blessing into a curse,
and get zapped by the divining lightning rod
Examine your ways
before you make that fatal decision
You don’t wanna go down the wrong road,
the one that has a lot of perfidious pot holes
Here is the lesson of salvation taught by the Hand of God:
four parts to the servant,
and the fifth part to the ruler
Joseph’s law, the righteous governor
And all five parts go to the Potter
The ruler was Pharaoh
And on the Hand of God,
the fifth part was the Finger of God
pointing at evil Pharaoh
The Finger of God cut that hawk Pharaoh
down like a wounded sparrow
The Egyptians didn't do a righteous payback,
therefore, the Finger of God didn't cut them no slack
Five fingers of equal part justice
is material proof
of this spiritual truth
Be given good, and repay it with evil ... that ain’t good
So should the Finger of God be pointing at you,
repent is what you do
Then repay fourfold, Zaccheus gave us the clue
Unfold your hand ...
let the Finger of charity take hold of you
There are four parts on the hand,
and the fifth part
is the Finger of God
pointing at you
The Finger of God etches the handwriting on the wall —
warning you:
from the heights of heaven, the angel Lucifer did fall
God cast out Satan from up high
Watch the Devil’s descent to hell,
he don’t have wings to fly
Is this how you choose to die?
Repay good with evil,
then this will be your same fate, no lie
And you won’t see a single teardrop
fall from the sky
