Charonnet
Created by Charles Messina. This poem has a rhyme scheme of (ABAB, CCDD, EFGH, II). Also in the last "stanza" NOT the couplet. You must re-arrange the words in lines AB & AB in the first stanza. (8) syllables in each line, no more or less.
You have no hope of finding love
if you hold back heartfelt feelings.
The truth hurts, learn to rise above
barriers; break those glass ceilings.
Happiness is a worthy goal,
without it, you'll never feel whole.
Love is when two souls share one heart,
and so, it hurts to be apart.
No hope of finding love if you
hold back heartfelt feelings you have.
Learn to rise above barriers,
break those glass ceilings, the truth hurts.
Wait for love, accept nothing less,
dream the dreams you’ve tried to suppress.
