Finding An Anchor
FINDING AN ANCHOR
For this forlorn woman of broken heart
a time comes in the midst of surging strife
when of a sordid thought she becomes alert
that pushes her to the edge of wrecked life.
She hears the calming call of the rolling sea,
its cool and serene depth of solace awaits her
to dissolve in the tranquil azure all her agony.
The silver lining of the waves makes her falter.
The shadow on ashy sea of the gloomy sky,
the cold touch of the dark and still horizon
can’t entice the dancing waves to ever die.
They whisper her drifting hope will live on.
She sits resigned on the grey beach desolate,
void mind searching herself lost in the yonder.
Digs her tired feet in the hold of the sand wet,
tries to find on the shore of turmoil an anchor.
