Finally
Finally, I have found you.
I've searched so very long,
never feeling wanted, for
a place where I belong.
Looking for acceptance, my nights so all alone,
lost in my reflections, but
you've been here all along.
I know that you don't know me, but accept me anyway.
Having read my silly sonnets, you encourage me to stay.
A beautiful reflection on who you really are,
visiting my poetry, you've helped me come so far.
Even though my cadence falters, I don't really care.
For all that really matters,
on any given day, is the
universal warmth you give,
never pushing me away.
Delivering sweet sentiments you soothe my dour mood.
You don't know what you mean to me, my courage you've renewed, an
Ode to you my special friends and
undying gratitude.
