a menacing fog hangs low serpenting
and infiltrating nooks and crannies
while the news continues
to spew its ugliness and venom
resistance may be futile
but i fiercely refuse to stop defending
the last little corner of my brain
that remains unblemished
by this mile high pile
of appalling bile that's vile
