Feelings

Poetrys not all about beautiful things Such as falling in love hearing church bells ring. Pretty flowers in bloom the first day of spring. Nature's calling hearing song birds sing. Poetry can be dark with lots of meaning. It all depends On how the poet is feeling.

John, a lot of wisdom expressed by you. Many people write about beautiful things, but "things" come in pairs...there is sadness that comes with any good thing for a variety of reasons. If you're thinking that the dark side should get equal time, I think you're correct. Smiles (and frowns) lol...

I hear, loud and clear. So, Poetry's ceiling depends on how the poet's feeling. I like it! Thanks, John!

My moods don't really reflect my feelings. I suppose I'll have to write Fiction every time I write a poem.

Indeed you are so correct John. I loved your write - BTW I saw your comment on Kim's poem where you said you don't see much snow in London these days - I believe that you guys have been getting plenty of unseasonal snow, which I used to think came only in late Jan. I'm in Oz and we have summer here. Hugs Maria

Hi Maria, we had some snow in the countryside but none in London, I can't remember when we last had a White Christmas. Xx

This is so good poetry, I agree, and John I try and stay an optimist, but I also agree with your kind heart, we reflect what we write, we are all human. Love your poetic style, it's refreshing. xo

Hi sister Beryl, true it's whatever life throws at us, humorous limericks tend to lighten the mood though, I do have a Santa limerick which I will post later on. Hope Alan is feeling better.

So true John, I love humour but occasionally write something sombre because sometimes life is like that. Hope your weekend is going well. Tom

That's true Suzette, I mainly write down my thoughts, and see what I can come up with, I do prefer poems that rhyme. xx

Sure, but I have to write what presents itself and giving life to sorrow in words is cathartic
