~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Feelings never know the regret
Remorse they have begun,
When they so soon forget,
The wonders of God’s Son.
Feelings bleed tears, quiet fear,
Worried by the shadows met,
Feelings blurred by each year
When devotion to God is upset.
Feelings, tender and ashamed
Because time can humiliate,
Trembling with sorrow unnamed,
Knowing Jesus can surely relate.
Feelings, flowing from the heart,
Stirring up grief who’ll spoil,
Reminding that we have a fresh start,
With Him who calms all turmoil.
Feelings, blessed by heaven’s glory,
Holds the life in a gentle embrace,
As we remember that old, old story,
Jesus sends us His sweetest grace!
