Jan, sorry you have not seen any where you live. Even in areas where they live naturally, they are somewhat elusive because of their speed. Sara K

It is so refreshing to see birds coming to eat from the bird feeder. Beautiful haiku and beautiful image.

Yes, Paige, I was wondering if they might collide in the air. Sara K

Thank you, Darlene. There has been some changes here with there being less flowers in my garden this year so the hummingbirds and other birds have needed my help to supply them with what they need. I hope I have the strength to make some changes to once again have a wide variety of flowers for hummers and butterflies to feed from. Sara K

Ooh…suspenseful! Love watching the birds at the feeder. My dad hasn’t filled his lately. I think he’s a bit down…

Kim, when a person gets older, the heat can be oppressive for them so going outside to fill a bird feeder can be a stressor. Also, the heat can get a person of age down just in itself. Thanks for dropping by. Sara K

Such delight in each line, Sara! I have a hummingbird feeder outside my office window and I love watching the hummingbirds along with the wrens who try to steal a little snack. Blessings to you and to your birdies!

I always enjoy reading your haiku, dear sara, you write such picturesque ones and your pictures are so fitting too for them. I especially love the imagery of bird flying in… and the last line is brilliant. Sending you light alwayz

IE, I was concerned that there would be a major collision out in the back garden this morning, but they managed to not run into each other. I appreciate the visit. Sara K

Awesome haiku and photo. We have one on front porch but though the feeder keeps getting drained sightings have been rare

Hard to catch those little marvels of nature because they are so fast. Thanks for the visit and kind review of my work. Sara K
