Feed Your Dragon Feed Your Muse
You must feed your dragon;
likewise, with your muse.
If dragon cries out in hunger;
everything you’ll lose.
But muse will suffer greatly;
starvation’s never kind.
If muse gets way too hungry,
you may just lose your mind.
For muse is fueled by imagination;
by experience and life.
When experiences jettison your emotions;
Muse takes note of your strife.
Imagination kicks in to analyze it all;
Muse notes it as well.
From the combination falls
a creation of muse, that’s swell.
Now you may wonder about dragon’s part;
in the whole scheme, laid out here.
Dragon is the drive to pursue your art;
if you don’t, his rage, you’ll bear.
