Fear Is Deceptive

Fear is a jail for anyone who lacks faith.
A chain that can keep you bound forever.
The thief of your peace, fear, is a scary wraith.
Darkness is thrown by a gloomy river.

Fear is a hushed voice in the night.
You can't do that, so either hide or run.
You're unworthy. For you, there is no light.
Fear is a tyrant who will block out the sun.

Fear is a deceiver. Never rely on his tongue. 
If you let fear in, your spirit will die.
the most futile song ever to be sung.
Have faith. Please do not fall for his lie.

Take in the light of truth. The night is over.
Cast on oneself, push on, no fence to cover.

I wrote here about such attacks of Fear before a recent surgery. NAnd yes, at its height Jail is exactly what it felt like! And yes,btooknall my faith & Christ beside me w/angels to,go free.if it isntried again,i shall see the signs. Bthanknyou 4 this knowing poem.

Valsa George January 14, 2023 at 8:06 PM Such an uplifting poem with a strong message. Never succumb to fear. It can ooze out the life sap from anyone. It is a jail imprisoning our spirit. The antidote to fear is faith- faith in God and oneself.
