Favorite Memories

I relish every memory of childhood friends and secrets shared while sitting in our special tree or taking risks when others dared. You blink your eyes, and childhood flies! My mind’s eye still can clearly see the classroom where I long declared that writing skills would always be essential. For each child, I cared. Some yawned; some heard each sincere word.

Too many hours drawn to a screen. The past was always more inviting for children. Very nice, Janice!

When I went to school, many Americans did not, but today children attend school and still can not write cursive. That's progress? Aloha!

A few years back, when I heard that cursive writing was no longer to be taught--in most areas--I actually cried! Thanks, Rico. Janice
