Faroese
I am learning Faroese, a language spoken as a mother tongue by 65,000 people. So far, I have only completed three lessons, and have committed, as the website tells me, nil words to long-term memory, or as they write it, 0. I look at that 0 - it looks so stern! I have only seen one word so far that resembles English, their word 'litil', which means 'little'. There you are, the website was kidding me. 'Litil' is firmy rooted.
Today, I will learn Faroese,
and put my learning above nil.
As you know, they said "nil" to tease.
Today, I will learn Faroese...
I think my next word will be 'please'.
The verbs are set out for a drill...
Today, I will learn Faroese,
and put my learning above nil.
