OMG the last line is SO TRUE! I was brought up on non-pasturized fresh milk and know this to be so true! And how sad it is for our economy as well, to have these shells of farmhouses and barns dotting the landscape also. Wonderful poem! and thank you for your wonderful comments on my Dove poem also! I think I was blushing by the time I was done reading it! ~Trudy!

This haiku has a tongue in every word, a voice in every line, and a truth in its whole ... the poet rises from a realm of talent and pour his feelings out through it. Thanks for your friendly comments, keep the vibes flowing, brother, friend.

aawwweee...so sad..and so very true. How terrible life is treating the earthlings lately. (being an earling myself, I have to speak up for the rest of us) he he he Your Haiku is perfect. The first line says so much...and that's the point...so BRAVO to you for bringing the reader to the point so well...and the rest is exquisite in every way. The reality in the readers face at the end hits it home...your point well taken.I lived on a farm and drank fresh milk, I know!

It's so sad to see the farms fall during these difficult economic times. Their products are essential to our survival. This is a very touching reflection, James. I'd rather bail out the farmers than bail out Wall Street. Sometimes we, as a nation, forget what is truly important. Love, Carolyn

Its sad enough when homes foreclose...but farms too...their way of life, their land, their hard work....it is so terrible to see. (I wrote a poem awhile back too...about foreclosure...it is a blight around the country. A sad but relevant haiku, James.
