Far, Far, Far Away
Access the memory pool
the eye inside
Maybe we’ll leave this life
go some place else
some place where this bitter taste
can be washed down sweeter
than anything we’ve ever felt
I wonder if there’s a comets hymn
or some anthem sung in unison
better that than this bereft and desolate
and spend the days wishing
aways wishing for something else
So tired of seeing, I thought
the smiles of children
all reflected in the eyes of children who cannot
has brought all our souls
to impoverishment
Access the memory
inside the eye
If I could find a single moment of peace
maybe then it would be a worthwhile attempt
but hasten the blood flow
but linger here
idolized in the necessity of destitute
We should leave
make some pathway between iron and cement
somewhere between the hollow confront
slip away as silent
and never let on how lost we have become
Come, some other place awaits you
it’s ok, take my hand
out there in the beyond of beyond
where we once held awe
as natural
Access the eye
the memory inside
