Falling Leaves



golden leaves drifting
trees whisper in the wind
forlorn reveries-
trees once wearing stained glass hues
hold a few golden children

How pretty. Autumn gives us so much to write about. Leaves of different colors and shapes from different trees held together, make as beautiful of a bouquet as flowers do. I read your poem several times, then closed my eyes to see your words. To me, it is a poem that 'feels' nice. It would be nice to walk through it's colors, sounds and autumn scents.

This is so lovely. But I am confused . There is a recent contest for monoku but under the rules, it is asking for tanka. I wonder if some people are doing monoku.
