Listen to poem:
Love's Angelic wings so gloriously white Turn an ebony black from its death Once pristine feathers of magical flight Died quiet and slow with each lonely breath A rose clutched is of love's memories kept Held to her breast in heart's thrashing dark storm Where lace covered flesh catches tears she wept Now becoming cold, where they once were warm There is no sadness deeper or more pained To be in an empty world that appears Where reflections in sadness have remained In a black shroud surrounding her tears 8/5/17 contest...Fallen Angel

Frederic, I could hear part of the audio, before my tablet stopped letting me, but my tablet does that anyway. You read poetry very well. This poem is great for the contest. I like the last stanza a lot. :)

Oh Frederic...your voice is beautiful as is your poetry...My favorite lines "where lace covered flesh catches tears she wept". I know the feeling of that black shroud, dear. For me it is depression. Thank you for your visit to my work. Bless you

dang, I can't even get it to work. (I recently learned none of my voiced poems are able to be accessed but at least Connie says she can access this). Anyway, let me say, This is a beautiful gem on the theme and the picture. I hope I can think up something as fine!!

This is beautiful Frederic! The volume on your poem was too low to be entirely enjoyed tho, on my Kindle anyway. Best of luck in the contest. : )
