Fallen Angel- Ebony Tears

Heather cries ebony tears from her eyes, her veiled disguise is lifted from those lies- the lightning strikes, her insanity spikes, death prevails no matter how hard she tries. one crimson rose held tightly with grace, her lover’s embrace has left without a trace- bloodstained hands, no man understands, as ebony tears streak down her face. lace covered arms and dressed in leather, no one could ever understand poor Heather- one black broken wing, she’d do anything, to put the pieces of life back together. Very lovely though shrouded in sadness, Laura. Incidentally, some months ago I used this same form for my poem "Her Nectar Kiss". Hope you are keeping well. Regards // paul

Powerful imagery, Laura. I like how you've used almost a Limerick-style approach, but the content is deeper and more melancholic. Thanks for running the contest.
