I hold assurance in my heart as each day is brought forth,
I need my trust in the Lord for my constant conviction,
beliefs in my hope gives me reliance and true self-worth,
and to know it all started one Friday with the crucifixion.
Devoted to my creed while surrounded in loyalty,
for without the Lord’s reliability where would I be?
He has saved me from myself and treats me like royalty,
I feel compassion towards others and I am finally free.
I have so much to offer the world with my affection,
I’m definitely not flawless, but I’m in a good place,
many mistakes are made, no such thing as perfection,
only the Lord has perfect dedication through my faith.
Oh, hear my cries at night to save people from destruction,
may I spread the steadfast truth creating an alliance of sincerity,
let my trustworthiness flow and help others from life’s corruption,
thank you Lord for your strength and wisdom you give so freely.
