Fairy Houses

The Gardens* had some houses, Teeny tiny ones they'd made, Hidden next to pots of flowers Quite adorably displayed. Twigs and acorns, fruits and berries Formed the roofs, the doors and walls Of these little homes just waiting 'Til a neighbor fairy calls. For they're known as fairy houses, Meant to stir creative sorts Needing outlets for their vision Where the fairy world cavorts. We spied not a single fairy But loved spotting where they might, After visitors have vanished, At their tiny doors alight. *Tower Hill Botanical Gardens in Massachusetts

I saw a video recently on you tube I believe where this guy over in europe somewhere built little structures out of whatever for the mice in his garden and then photographed them. Crazy Cute. <3 :)

Never heard of "fairy houses", Ilene. By your description they sound and look delicious. / M

I understand the best way to see a fairy is leave a gold coin as gold attracts leprechauns (and thieves) and mischievous leprechauns attract righteous fairies. Just let me know before you toss the coin! Aloha! Rico

Beautifully done Ilene. Reminds me of a botanical center in Austin Texas though their fairy houses are big enough for adults.
