Faeries Transform Winter
The faeries were in full force today,
Christening the snow with the prettiest diamonds.
I stayed inside, watching the ground turn a gorgeous blue-white.
Crystalizing things make them sparkle.
The faeries flew past my window a number of times.
I knew I was not supposed to see them, so I pretended I did not.
They transformed the world into the most beautiful place.
I watched in awe, marveling at their talents.
The largest faerie stayed behind to add icicles to the trees.
He had to recruit another faerie to help,
I could tell he was older
Sadly, it might be his last winter.
