Fading Rose

When love blossoms, in full bloom, the rose of bright scarlet dances with sculptured petalled passion as alluring fragrance enchants to ignite senses and heart aplenty with no ration. When love wilts dripping blood red petals that fall and piercing thorns linger with deaths silent call the rose fades, withers, decaying at its core and once of beauty before is now no more.

You are a gifted master in the Rispetto form, but I am more interested in your message. Here, you move the reader from the birth of love to its melancholic death. We humans project our emotions on our surroundings. Very well done! Best wishes, Thomas

Thank you hardly seems enough. I am truly elated to receive the honour of a fav from you too. Such warmth and joy you have brought into my poetic heart as I strive to improve upon my journey. Christina, you have described this cycle of life with a beautiful poem. On some level, we could wish it would all last, but then we might not value it as much. Your work here is a pleasure to read and causes me to pause and think.

To come back to soup, and find this magnificent piece of poetic perfection was such a delight dear Chris. The wonderful balance that you bestow to a beautiful rose, resplendent, glowing in full bloom, a picture perfect form of untold enchantment, dancing for joy, to the dropping of petals and the steady fading into decay. Who can lament the fading of beauty when such wonderful memories of a life of beauty and wonder remain forever? Does your rose depict a beautiful woman dearest friend ? I see between the lines, it does. Again I bow to the masterful poetess who created this amazing poem.

Hooray - she’s back! Did I miss her - you bet I did! My dearest pal, I am overjoyed and truly elated reading your beautiful comments that you have so generously and graciously bestowed upon me. I shall treasure them always. As you know, I just love how you comment - poetry in itself -you are without a doubt one of the best for that dear Wen. Well, the beauty of poetry as we all know is that poems can be perceived in so many different ways. Reading your wonderful, insightful thoughts have now put a new image in my own mind - that of a beautiful, faded ballerina. So, thank you dear one for that. And I bow to you again - you have been doing amazingly well in the contests. I’m in awe of how many you can enter with so many different, amazing ideas. I’ve missed you dearest friend. Big hugs and luv to you always xx
