Facing Tomorrow With Gratitude
A wandering pilgrim and blazing pioneer was he who sat at the bank of a whining river, having
grown weary and worn of places gone and tasks done. But he wondered about things not done and what could have been.
Years prior, he had wondered then what tomorrow might bring. And then tomorrow came, and he still wondered then about
the days that came. He wondered then about yesterday that was now history portraying much that was still a mystery, and he
wondered about the difference between the now and the then. The quiet meditation and prayerful attitude made him peaceful
and mellow as he watched the passing of the river's gentle flow. I suspect the passing of time and the coming to terms with the
realities of life made him a wiser man now than then, and he has no regrets of yesterday, no extended pains, no hurtful memories.
Today finds him filled with much gratitude and far less worrying about tomorrow's potential woes and wounds that may or may not come.
