(Girl in Tibet, 2009)
Faces of Death
Like at birth
The faces we make
And meet at death
Are not only our own
But each unique
Some of us go kicking and screaming
Some passively sad and lonely
Some with grim determination and
Others, perhaps just the few,
Go laughing
While many more manage a smile.
I know it’s easy to say and harder to do
But I want to go like a kid
Boarding a roller-coaster
For one last thrilling ride.
To say, even in silence, here we go
“Weeeeeeee…”
