This piece is based on a college term paper I wrote which was about change - how we are constantly changing every day because of new experiences and new input from life that goes on around us.
You think you know me, you've loved me for so long. But you don't know me as I am today. When you first loved me, you watched me and learned what I did; you listened to me and learned what I thought; and you came to know me. You forgot, though, that I kept doing and I kept thinking, and today, I'm different with new parts of me waiting for you to discover. I know you love me still, but you don't know me as I am today because you see me with eyes of yesterday. Submitted 4 Sept 16
