** Snow, snow, you have to go. My patience with you is at an all - time low. Pack your bags and hit the road. Take your iceberg and go, go, go. Come on, sun, turn up the heat. I'm so sick of this cold and sleet. Hey, Mr. Sun, Send down your rays. I'm fed up with gloom and haze. Come on, spring, it's time to shine. The robins are here; there are plenty of signs. Now, Mr. Winter, hit the bricks. You've been evicted, and NO! More tricks Written on 3/17/2022 A BRIAN STRAND 1093 Brian Strand: Judged 2022 March 2 ~~ 1st ~~

When I saw the title, I just didn't know what to expect, Debra, no wonder poor Mr. Winter comes back even colder the next year, his poor heart is hardened with all those evictions . . . : (

A well-deserved win for this fine "bye bye winter" poem. I think it's safe to say, "you're in your zone, Debra". :-) A poet friend in Texas, Bill

I certainly would like to say goodbye to the snow, but unfortunately. It's "Snowing" outside right now and it's 33 degrees. I may have to take "Winter" to "Mother nature court". LoL. Thanks for your comment, Bill. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Blessings ~ Debra

There is nothing more precious than a newborn lamb. I hope mother nature has finished with the snow. I have seen it snow in April. Thanks, Sotto, for taking the time to read and comment. Blessings ~ Debra

I imagine Chicago got their share of snow this year, being up around the lakes. We had heavy ice and snow and on top of that we lost power twice, both times for 3 days. I'm ready for warm weather. I enjoyed your comment. Have a good night. Blessings ~ Debra

I am happy to be seeing signs of spring already, Debra. Today it was unseasonably warm-in the 70's. But I remember one year when we got a huge snowstorm-on April Fool's Day, no less! A lovely poem. Evelyn :)

Hello! Evelyn, I recall the snowstorm that hit us on April Fools' Day. Mother Nature, I suppose, is playing a prank on us (lol). Thank you for taking the time to read and comment. Blessings ~ Debra

Hmmmm Here in Alberta it would be no unheard of thing to get a snow storm in May. Once it was May and we got a blizzard that socked in the whole surrounding area for 3 days. Real cute little poem Deb. Loved it and it expressed our feelings of anxiously waiting for Spring flowers and green grass. Good Stuff. God Bless, JB

Hi! Judy, we have had a crazy winter with a lot of ice storms. I guess it would be kind of hard to avoid snow in Canada. Thanks for your comment. I'm happy you enjoyed the poem. Hugs, Debra

I'm hoping we're over the worst of it here in North Alabama - just needs to dry out! Have a blessed (warmer, I hope) day!

Hi! Jeff, we just had 8 inches of snow here in Northen WV. It has been crazy weather. I lost power for 3 days with no internet. That's been keeping me from reading and posting here on soup. Thanks for reading and commenting. Blessings ~ Debra
