A kind of Thanatopsis; hope it's not too upsetting.
Everyone Knows: Nobody Says
That day will come.
The one you dread, the one you never speak of in your mind.
The day when everything will stop.
Should it arrive in a red scream of pain,
Or a slow and grinding fade;
Or something in between
It will, relentlessly, come.
Everyone knows, Nobody says.
This is where we all head towards,
Like it or not.
Yes, the moment of the shining
The moment of the Great Reveal.
That is. What is. Coming.
Oh, and may we all Shine in that Day.
Yes, says the Truth,
Say it though it burns your tongues,
Say it though it sets your hearts aflame.
We will face it,
Each and all of us,
On our own.
Let us be ready.
Let us be brave.
Let us grasp it
And be done.
Everyone knows.
Nobody says.
