every kiss

We kissed at the movies We kissed in my home We kissed on your bed When we were all alone We kissed in the hallways Where no one would stare We kissed at my front door With my parents right there We kissed in the cold Love struck under stars You held my hand tight As we waited for our cars And you kissed me while we cuddled We watched my favorite movies too And you were all I wanted But it was too good to be true You wrote that I’m your everything So happy I could fly That effort flipped to nothingness Sweet smile to a goodbye And I don’t think I hate you Don’t think I ever could But if I could take it all back You best believe I would I’d take back those tears You know those ones that I cried When I begged for an explanation And I wondered why you’d lied I’d take back the words Those ones I threw in your face My heart was a mess And they came from the wrong place And I’d take back the drama And the pain that was anything but small But I guess that’s the price you have to pay Just to simply be able to fall But I don't regret falling And I don't regret you I just wouldn't do it again And I know you wouldn't too
