Eutaw Place Memoirs
EUTAW PLACE MEMOIRS
There is a memory, I think I have,
of a blizzard party that was a blast.
A collage of thoughts,
smells and sensations
all made that time a special occasion.
Remember that cramped little space,
our home on Eutaw Place?
There is a memory, I think I have
of a large brick house in a row.
Looking at each sunset,
and seeing the ones I already know.
Remember we could wash, eat and sleep
all within 200 feet.
There’s a memory I think I know,
of when we lived there and you did grow.
If you close your eyes you can see that red wall,
in a kitchen with ceilings ten feet tall.
Remember when you loved Michael J.
You listened to his music all day.
There’s a memory that I have,
of raising two pretty girls,
to believe in their good in the world
to put forth their best to try
to aim oh so high
to reach as they did, the sky.
Remember that cramped little space,
our home on Eutaw Place?
