Notes About The Poem

My limericks, with commentary, are collected in Original Clean Limericks, available from Amazon. See my book links.

Euler's Identity combines five fundamental constants (0, 1, e, i, pi) and the three most important operations (addition, multiplication, and exponentiation). All in one limerick!

Euler's Identity

Raise e to the power of i
Then multiply i by a pi.
To all that, add one,
You'll see when you're done,
A zero will out of it fly.

I have to trust you on this one... I'm on a strictly no-pi diet.

An admirable restraint! i've cut back on pie, but pi is harder.
