Essence of My Poetry

there are heights i've reached, words i've practiced and preached- but inside my soul searching is nothing but an eagle perching; i have written my will...beseeched words of love and loss prevail, in my reverie of death i sail- the pebbles along the ocean show my depth and emotion- i do overcome...i do fail. but my quill writes from my soul, my poetry keeps me whole- i need not a worry nor care, for those metaphors are there when life takes its tragic toll. freedom of words spoken can cause a heart broken; yet i write with faith and hope, for it helps me learn to cope- in me azure skies awoken sincere biographies, of me bring me to my knees- no guarantees just trust and inspiration is a must; for poetry is my disease. my wounds need no cure, they are mended by the allure of my words from my heart, as my scars play a big part- they are a marvel to endure ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ January 5, 2019

I enjoyed reading this personal write today. Loved the last two lines: "as my scars play a big part / they are a marvel to endure". Reminded me of your "Beautiful Scars I Wear On My Soul". The veins of your poetry are rich with the red blood cells of hope and healing. You write from the heart and soul, with real loss and scars, and speak of real hopes and love. When my pen runs dry i like to come back to your well of words. Blessings, my friend ~ John
