Epistle To a Soldier's Daughter
EPISTLE TO DAUGHTER OF A SOLDIER
When all hopes fade,
I alone carry my pain,
There may be so many colours,
But I'm coloured in blood red stain
I'm alone there
Where silent screams surround
With dire mess all around.
I must bank on my fate
I'm a knight in a shiny armour
In the eyes of people, I'm so great.
I'm trying to colour the world in hues of love
And want to erase the strain of hate
But as a father,
I guess, I am not that great.
How many days, I must wait?
Its my daughter's birthday, eh?
Sorry, but am I actually late?
I don't know my dear
But I am never losing my faith
Because I'm a soldier
I've my country's responsibility
On my shoulder
My country is my mother
Who is making me everyday even bolder
I could even offer my life to her
I know I ain't just one
But trying my best to be a loyal son
Because in hot days and cold nights
She is my shelter.
She is my work, she is my world
But...
Sorry, my princess, my dear girl
I could not make this time to home
Because I'm a servant of my nation
I'm my country's brave.
I don't know but may be
I would meet you soon
Or finally you would drop Your tears on my grave!
