Endless Sky

I call out, into the air. My words blow away. Is there anyone out there? I have something to say. I talk to the sea. Waves muffle the sound. Will someone listen to me? There is no one around. I too have a voice. That needs to be heard. Do I have a choice? I am denied a single word. A troubled mind, Finding no relief. Searching to find, A long ago belief. My hopes have all flown. Into a dark endless sky. If I had only known, It would all go awry. Nothing more to say. My efforts in vain. Discarded, in disarray. Unable to sustain.

G'day Sandra … perhaps I'm wrong but your poem reads like a lyric to me, and a good one at that - thank you Sandra - Lindsay

I can imagine the sound of the sea, while wanting to be heard. There is peace in this poem with the yearning. I can understand. But yes, your poetry reaches others and you are heard :)
