Endless Winter

ENDLESS WINTER There’s a big to do On the high Olympus Mount He in charge of spring Has wandered off taken wing And the wild snow piles higher Zeus is so angry God Winter rages uncheck’d All is ice covered Wife Hera scolds day and night Athena shivers a fright A search is begun Have you seen spring anyone And at last he’s found Sleeping in some Shangri La A land of eternal sun

a beautiful write, enjoyed this one, just glad winter is over. thank you for reading a rose fell, it is based on this little 6 year old girl. we knew in 1976, her family and her lived downstairs, they use to play with my son Rob when he was 6 years old. any way she was hit and killed by a car. we went to her funeral and that little coffin tore me up, i will never forget it.

oh, boy, you just are not letting up on this winter hanging around.hahaha. LOve it, DAver. And the difference between the two girls in my wedding poem: the first girl only wanted the "dream" of wedding. The second girl cared more for making a marriage work! well, time for bed. I aleady ran a half hour past my time I gave myself to be here. GEEEZ

How selfish of spring, Daver! He'll have to do lots of overtime to make up for this neglect of duties. LOL This, I enjoyed lots, Daver. Hope all is well with you and rest of family. Love, Annalise

What a magnificent picture of the mythological tale you have woven leading to the land of eternal sun, Shangri La, daver

Like the way you wove Greek mythology into this poem, Daver, but I can assure you some of us found spring in February. It's going to be 85 degrees here this afternoon. Wish I could go back a few weeks to days in the 70s. I'd give anything to see that snow and trade places so you could enjoy the "land of eternal sun." It's not all it's cracked up to be! The search should be coming to a close soon for you. :) Great poem! Love, Carolyn
