End of Life Care
Begging for truce in just one form
As I watched my Mom die
Praying for the end of her storm
Her falling tears tore me apart
Advance stage four Cancer
Pain, suffering and broken hearts
A heart of Gold waiting for death
An image that won’t dim
I still remember her last breath
Proud and thankful that I was there
Holding her hand, I stayed
Providing her end of life care
