For the the 'CHOOSE A FEB 2025 POSTED POEM' Poetry Contest of Brian Strand

Empty shells I find on the beach can be looked at in two ways. In one aspect, they are seeds of death - the only tangible remains of once-living creatures now planted randomly in the sand, but also it can be said that rootless - they still blossom beneath the sun with their beautiful spiraled patterns as flowers from the sea.

Andrea, this is really cute. Things tend to get recycled in all kinds of ways...even poems LOL!!! So no matter what the outcome of this contest, you have made me think and smile!!

Did you enter a poem you'd already penned or write this for his contest, I wonder? Your imagery is thought provoking, Andrea. I feel so blessed that I'm actually sharing time with your poems again, alone with them and background snoring sounds at 1:15 am, how 'bout that ... CayCay

Dear Andrea, Reading this I felt such a gentle depth, seeing both loss and beauty in something so simple as a shell. I love the way you turn remnants into quiet, sunlit blossoms. Such a lovely, reflective piece! Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
