Empty House

I come home this night to an empty house My heart has been drained by you I can still see you in the bathroom curling your hair I sit here in despair still watching you, curling your hair I am in the front room asking you what is for dinner Nothing is herd but only silence, waiting for your answer I see you taking a nap all curled up like a baby in a crib But all I see is a messed up bed and only an image of you They placed your body in a coffin today and closed the lid A image I want to forget, Our house is empty but your coffin is full This house will always be empty without you I will forever Love you!

Touching! I could feel sadness and loss just reading this. You wrote words of reality and brought them to life through writing about death. You wrote in a way that I could see what you saw and feel what you felt. Visions and feelings are top ingredients of a good poem.
