Empty Eyes
Eyes that do not see you
Even though you are there
Alone and invisible
Though eyes are everywhere
Eyes that see little
Selfish and unkind
Eyes that lack warmth
Eyes that are blind
Eyes that only see their own beauty
See only who they are
Can’t see past their vanity
Eyes that don’t see far
Surrounded by so many
In a land that cannot see
Surrounded by empty eyes
Eyes that don’t see me!
