Empty Cone
In my childhood, I had no siblings, cousins or friends
to play or spend time with me
Therefore, the homebody I was naturally delighted
in my own company, relationship free
But while growing up the occasional feelings of loneliness
would not leave me alone
I felt as if the sun had melted my delicious ice-cream
and left nothing but an empty cone.
