Empty As the Hourglass Shatters

Empty as the hourglass shatters, then falls
Upon the floor of love forevermore
To feel sad eyes weeping from eyelid walls
Close tight from love's dark realms of shades abused
When seeing shadows flee the open door
To fill the saddest eyes of love recused
These painful orbs will stare through shades of blue
With memories from love known once before
In its vivid detail when love was new
Now, broken glass, to cause the eyes to pour
