Embrace - Release

Embrace, we did- our children growing up; well-blessed with three- sweet nectar in our cup. How soon those empty nests did change our days; release, we did- and let them fly- with praise. Embrace, we did- with five grandkids are blessed But too, those years went fast- another test. Soon, empty nests, two-fold- they flew away. Release, we did- still praise them every day. Embrace, we did- dear great-granddaughter's birth! Our time again to fill our lives with mirth. We pray time slows, as she is growing fast; Embracing still- we want this joy to last. But, as we age- someday, they'll say goodbye- Release- their turn- when we, to heaven fly. And so is life- embrace, and then let go; all cycles must complete the way they flow. May 2, 2021
