Embers and Snowflakes
EMBERS AND SNOWFLAKES
Deep in the forest a loon sounds a call
The fire is finally dying
As gentle snowflakes begin to fall
And honking geese are flying
The weary hunters begin to yawn
The day has been a long one
They await the coming dawn
And hope the snow will be done
Another day has come and gone
The snow has finally quit
The hunters look forward to going home
But they all have enjoyed it
