Elf Meets Fox

Maybe a cardinal will come by We could hitch a ride, my friend said. We waited; but none came So we walked a few more steps Maybe a squirrel will come by. They are usually pretty fast. But selfish, I told him. They would not give us a lift. The next time I saw him, He had hopped past me Riding a rabbit with an up and down bounce. “Hop on!” said a voice. It was a fox. “No thanks,” I said. “Walking is good for me.” I did not get more than a few steps.
