Eleanor Rigby - the Beginning
(Hopefully you could sing this to tune of original song)
What of the unloved friendless children?
What of the unloved friendless children?
Eleanor Rigby
searches the audience hoping her parents have come.
She’s in a play,
and when it’s over,
she hears applause, but she knows that her parents aren’t there.
Why don’t they care?
Friendless unloved children,
there always are a few.
Friendless unloved children.
Whatever can they do?
Her fifth-grade teacher
seeing how Eleanor sits while the other kids play
every day!
She asks some students
if they’ll befriend Eleanor, but she’s not listened to.
What can she do?
Friendless unloved children,
there always are a few.
Friendless unloved children.
Whatever can they do?
Eleanor Rigby
finished her school, was a janitor all of her life -
never a wife.
Her fifth-grade teacher
rarely succeeded in helping the child with no friend;
then came her end. . .
Friendless unloved children (what of the friendless unloved children?)
there always are a few.
Friendless unloved chldren (what of the friendless unloved children?)
Whatever can they do?
