Edna

What better name for one who'd analyze and scrutinize the sources of logomachy, a philosopher who filters truth from lies, our building blocks, the seat of etiology. A thinker's thinker, one who ponders well the implications of a life-long gleaning, composed of and comprises, just a single cell in her journey to examine every meaning. Though new expressions find their way to dictionaries, they bastardize, dilute the power of language, 'snuck' instead of 'sneaked,' no real propensities to offer something better, (tawdry verbiage!) To communicate with skill, singular fluency takes savoir faire, a knack for etymology. ******** ...meant as a love sonnet to a dear friend.

And "who would have thought" instead of "who would have thunk" ... Oxford doesn't have the last word! This sure was delightful wordplay, Keith, mixed with some rather original thoughts. You had me scratching my head at "logomachy" ... perhaps I ought to consult this eDNA about the etymology.

Another epic poem! I'm extremely fond of your wording, as well as your boundless intelligence in your work. Although I Google'd a few words (because who knows what a logomachy is?! lol), but the inspiration your work gives me is astounding. ~Phil Tyler

Poems like this that contain body and wit are the joys of reading your work Keith. Now days kids like making up their own language which may seem to lack common sense, such as using the word bad for good. Surely one could come up wi t h something more creative than that, such as Colorfication...now there is a creative word! Lol. I loved this intelligent offering Keith. Bravo! #7
