Echoes of the Heart
My heart echoes love
Pure love for him
Not only for what he is
But for what I am
When I am with him
My heart echoes pride
Pure pride for him
Not only for what he has become
But for what he has
Helped me become
My heart echoes tenderness
Pure tenderness for him
Not only for overlooking my faults
But for bringing out
The best in me
My heart echoes happiness
Pure happiness for him
Not only for finding me
But for making me realize
The true worth of myself
My heart echoes gratitude
Pure gratitude for him
Not only for being himself
But for teaching me
To be myself
