Echoes of Death Flow

I heard the squelch of death again, too much depth to pick up my pen- heard voices not meant not be heard, listened to your every last word; I guess I’ll never know just when… I will let go of all that binds me, death too sudden with empathy- ‘round the course I followed in fear hoping delicate wings appear, supporting me with sympathy… and I shall wither through pain’s threshold, hearing old tales of love lost told- silhouettes of her echoes flow, though a soft heart she did bestow; remember her then wake up cold… but death’s pitied squelch, again I’ve heard- eyes blurred with dependence preferred I chose: "I heard the squelch of death again" September 15, 2019 Welcome to my random world Poetry Contest
